Homeschool Laws

Homeschooling can be a daunting task, especially when it comes to following the law. But don't worry, it's simpler than you think. We've created this page to help you find information on your state's homeschool laws. With our easy-to-use guide, you'll be able to navigate the legal requirements of homeschooling with confidence.

HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association)

The HSLDA is an organization that advocates for homeschooling families when it comes to the legal side of homeschooling. Every state/territory has its own laws regarding how to homeschool. Below are links to their Homeschool Laws by State webpage.

(YHH does not receive compensation from the HSLDA for recommending them to you. They are an organization from whom we have received helpful information and assistance, and that has been protecting homeschool families for over 35 years.)

Review your region's homeschool laws.

Search for your state in the table below and click on the link to be directed to HSLDA's legal webpage. After reading the overview list, click on the View Complete Details button below the list for more information. Then, check out our blog to find helpful information on how to organize and run your homeschool program.
